Energy & Plant Audit
Comprehensive performance audits designed to identify energy losses, reduce auxiliary power consumption, optimize water usage and improve the reliability of critical ash handling equipment.
Overview
Improving plant efficiency through detailed performance analysis.
AW Projects & Engineering provides comprehensive energy and performance audits for Ash Handling Plants and related industrial equipment.
Our engineers evaluate pumps, compressed-air systems, conveying pipelines, clinker grinders and other critical components to identify operational inefficiencies and avoidable energy losses.
The audit combines site measurements, equipment inspection and performance analysis to provide practical recommendations for reducing power consumption, water usage and unplanned downtime.
What’s included in our scope
Reduced auxiliary power consumption
Improved equipment efficiency
Improved plant reliability
Lower water and air consumption
Recovery Process
Energy and Performance Audit of Ash Handling Systems
01
Water & Slurry Pumps
Measure flow rates, pressures, and power consumption. The AHP often accounts for 1.5% to 2% of the total auxiliary power consumption. Auditors target throttling losses, inefficient impellers, and excessive water usage in bottom ash jet pumps.
02
Dry Ash Handling System
Analyze compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, and K-pumps used to convey fly ash from Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) hoppers. Leaks or blockages in conveying lines require inspection to minimize high-pressure compressed air waste.
03
Clinker Grinders
Check the health and performance of submerged scraper conveyors (SSC) and clinker grinders for bottom ash processing.
